Maryland Prestigious Int’l School hostels opened in October 2021 as an important part of the school formative strategy toward achieving our Mission to develop each child to his or her full potentials; intellectually, morally, spiritually and physically, that each may grow with an active and creative mind to live a healthy and meaningful life.

In order to breed a productive child, we have put in place a formative system designed to help our students grow with the right mindset, fear of God and discipline, self-confidence, sense of organization, sense of beauty, respect for one another, sense of responsibility and career driven mindset.

Our boarding system is devoid of distractions, this has helped us embolden our core values through

  1. All boarders must return to school on the stated date for resumption. Failure to do so attracts disciplinary action.
  2. All Students must submit their baggage for inspection before access is granted into the hostel. Bed space allocation will be done by the house master’s and mistresses.
  3. There shall be no exchange of room or bed space between students once allocated.
  4. All Student’s personal belongings must be marked/labeled for ease of
  5. Only registered boarding students are allowed into the hostel. Squatting or loitering within the hostel premises by non-residents is strictly prohibited.
  6. Day and Sunday wears, mattress and pillow slips, hats (for girls only) are expected to be purchased from the school.
  7. Other personal items such as nightgown, pajamas, coverlet, underwear, footwear, toiletries and other things like beddings are to be provided by the students.
  8. Students are not allowed to take any school property out of the hostel.
  9. It is prohibited for students to touch, write/paste on, or abuse the walls of the hostel.
  10. Slanderous writings, comments and publications are prohibited in the school hostel.
  11. Wake up time and light out must be duly obeyed by all students.

The following items are prohibited on campus. If a student is found with it, they will be confiscated and destroyed. Students may also be sent on suspension or expelled. These items include:

  • Mobile phones
  • Computer games
  • Digital Camera
  • Liquid cash (Naira or foreign currency)
  • Other wears apart from those provided by the school
  • Firearms
  • Knives, matchet, axe
  • Matches, lighter
  • Drugs, cigarette, alcohol
  • Any other item consider to be offensive.

It’s compulsory for all boarding students to enroll in the medical insurance scheme. All illnesses must be reported to the school medical centre for prompt attention. Serious illnesses are referred to the hospital immediately for proper treatment.

Bringing or taking drugs into the hostel is highly prohibited. All approved and prescribed drugs must be registered with school nurse and taken under the supervision of the nurse.

It’s compulsory for all boarders to register and take part the different school extracurricular programs as follows:

  1. Outdoor Sports: Every student is expected to register in at least one outdoor sport activities. A student can belong to a maximum of three outdoor sport activities. MPIS outdoor activities include:
    1. Football
    2. Volleyball
    3. Basketball
    4. Lawn tennis
    5. Gymnastics and athletic events
  2. Indoor Sports: Every student is expected to register in at least one outdoor sport activities. A student can belong to a maximum of three indoor sport activities. MPIS indoor activities include:
    1. Scrabble
    2. Chess
    3. Ludo
    4. Table tennis
    5. Ayo
  3. Talent Development: All boarding student are expected to develop at least one talent of their interest. MPIS talent programmes are updated from time to time in line with the realities of the modern society. We offer full training services in the following areas.
    1. Keyboard
    2. Violin
    3. Saxophone
    4. Drums
    5. Taekwondo
    6. basketball

This is a special meditation and recollection time, design to help student stay focus and build a good relationship with God and their environment.

  1. Quiet time starts after night prayers and ends after breakfast from Sunday to Friday. On Saturday its starts after night prayer and ends by 07:00 am.
  2. During this time students are not expected to talk to each other.
  3. Students are not expected to be involved in active activities. The activities allowed within this time includes meditative prayers, reading and sleeping.
