Events
SolemnAssembly
Where we anchor the heart. In a week full of noise and pace, this is the hour we deliberately slow down.
The premise
A beautiful tradition, rooted in our core values
Weekly School of Discipleship Impartation
Every Friday morning, 8:00 to 8:40 a.m., in the worship centre. Scripture, a short word, corporate prayer, and the school hymn.
Beginning-of-Term Dedication
We commit each term, each class and each teacher to God in the first week.
Examination Dedication
Held before each examination window, particularly for JSS 3 and SSS 3 candidates.
Sunday Masses
We come together to praise God for his kindness and his mercies.
By stage
What it looks like at each stage
The form changes with the age. The purpose does not.
Early Years
Ten to fifteen minutes, in their own hall. Simple songs with actions, a Bible story told with pictures and props, and a one-line prayer the children pray together. Short, warm and joyful.
Lower Primary
Twenty minutes. Memory verse of the week, a story with a clear moral, and children praying aloud in their own words for the first time.
Upper Primary
Thirty minutes. Students lead the songs and the readings. The virtue of the month — Respect, Responsibility, Honesty, Kindness — is taught and then applied to real playground situations.
Junior Secondary
Full assembly. Student-led worship team, a teaching from the chaplaincy, and small-group prayer by house.
Senior Secondary
Full assembly with student preaching, testimony and intercession. The senior prayer team leads the school. Boarders also hold morning devotion and evening prayers in the hostels daily.
Our approach
Warmth rather than pressure
We hold that with warmth rather than pressure. Students of every background are welcome here, and are asked to be respectful and present but never to profess what they do not believe.
Families of other faiths are always welcome to speak with the chaplaincy, and quiet alternative provision is available on request.
The purpose is formation, not performance
- Honesty when it costs
- Kindness when nobody is watching
- Responsibility carried without being chased
