Sprouts Class
Preschool · Foundation stage
Where curiosity is nurtured, confidence is built, and every child begins to blossom.
What your child will study
Literacy
Children recognise letters, sounds and simple words through storytelling, phonics songs and interactive reading. Early writing emerges through drawing, tracing and mark-making.
Numeracy
Counting objects, recognising numbers, and understanding size, quantity and patterns through games, sorting activities and guided play.
Nursery Science
Sink-or-float, plant observation and sensory exploration help children ask questions, make predictions and express findings.
Social Skills
Children learn to interact, share, take turns and communicate, developing empathy, cooperation and emotional awareness.
Creative development
Colouring, painting, drawing and craft build fine motor control and colour recognition. Creativity is encouraged, not corrected.
Nursery rhymes & music
Songs, rhymes and movement develop listening skills, memory and language patterns while supporting speech development.

The day is segmented to maximise learning efficiency while preventing fatigue. Every period is purpose-driven.
- Core academic sessions — deep, focused learning using both the Cambridge and Nigerian frameworks.
- Guided study periods — supervised sessions that remove homework burnout.
- Continuous assessment integration — learning and evaluation happen together.
- Structured breaks — recreation and social time that refreshes mind and body.

Parent questions
What makes the Sprouts programme different?
We blend play-based learning with gentle structure. Our Kindness Curriculum teaches empathy through storytelling, while our sensory garden sparks scientific curiosity.
What about first-time separation?
We use a step-by-step goodbye method that eases children into the school day at their own pace.
What is the teacher-to-student ratio?
A maximum of 1:5.
What if we are still potty training?
Completely fine. Our staff are experienced and supportive.

How it works here
Known by name, taught by specialists.
Core work is reinforced under specialist supervision before the last bell, which is why children leave without a bag full of homework and still make progress.
Learning and evaluation happen together. Struggling learners get targeted support early; strong ones are stretched further.
Pastoral care is structural, not optional. Every child has an adult whose job is to notice.
