In detail

SSS 2: The Analytical Visionaries

The power year. Students move into focused specialisation within one of three tracks — Science, Business or Humanities — with increased academic depth and exam readiness.

SSS 2 · The Analytical Visionaries

Where clarity meets commitment.

What your child will study

English Language

Argumentative and expository essays where students defend opinions logically. Comprehension and summary become more demanding.

General Mathematics

Quadratic equations and variations, with geometry and trigonometry taking shape. The focus shifts to multi-step problem solving.

Business Track

Financial Accounting becomes analytical — final accounts, depreciation and partnership accounts. Economics introduces market structures, inflation and national income with graph interpretation.

Humanities Track

Literature analyses themes, character development and literary technique. Government expands into political ideologies and constitutional development.

Citizenship & Heritage Studies

Active citizenship — human rights, leadership and integrity, addressing real issues such as corruption and national unity.

Trade Subject (Specialisation)

Students move from basic exposure to skill mastery and professional-level execution.

The advantage

By the end of the year, your child will

  • Master their chosen track to global university expectations.
  • Validate ability through rigorous internal and external assessment.
  • Build a leadership resume through clubs, councils and community projects.
  • Plan the testing roadmap — SAT, IELTS or mock UTME.

Parent questions

Can my child still change track in SSS 2?

Track changes are only advised early in the first term, as each pathway becomes academically intensive.

How does SSS 2 prepare students for international universities?

Through rigorous academics, research projects and alignment with global exam standards, plus university shortlisting and admissions strategy.

Parents ask themselves

Is the work pitched right for my child? What happens if they are ahead — or behind?

Those are the right questions. Every page here is written to answer them plainly — and the admissions team will answer them in person on 07044000075.

How it works here

Known by name, taught by specialists.

Two things shape a day at MPIS more than anything else.
Guided study, inside the school day

Core work is reinforced under specialist supervision before the last bell, which is why children leave without a bag full of homework and still make progress.

Continuous assessment, not one big exam

Learning and evaluation happen together. Struggling learners get targeted support early; strong ones are stretched further.

A form tutor who knows the child

Pastoral care is structural, not optional. Every child has an adult whose job is to notice.
