Turning ideas into action.
What your child will study
Global English Skills & Grammar
Students move beyond simple sentences to structured stories, using nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs, with direct speech and complex punctuation.
Phonics & Sight Words
Advanced decoding and inference, aiming for 90+ words per minute and identifying cause and effect.
Writing Skills
The transition to full cursive handwriting, plus the formal letter and the persuasive essay.
Mathematics
Operational fluency — multiplication and division tables up to 12 × 12, plus fractions and measurement.
Quantitative & Verbal Reasoning
Logic trees and missing-operator challenges; word-coding puzzles, antonyms and synonyms.
Computer Studies
Word processing for digital storytelling, touch-typing basics, and internet safety.
Basic & Agricultural Science
The life cycle of plants and soil types in Nigeria. Students track germination and record observations in tables.
Social, Civic & Creative
Local government and the dangers of drug abuse; Nigeria’s heroic leaders and the three arms of government; shading, perspective and Nigerian textiles such as Adire.

By the end of the year, your child will

One academic year
Three terms of three months each, with continuous assessment and structured progression.

The day is segmented to maximise learning efficiency while preventing fatigue. Every period is purpose-driven.

Is Grade 3 the year the workload increases?
There is a step up. We support it by teaching executive functioning — organising homework diaries and subject folders.
How do you balance British and Nigerian history?
Side by side. Students learn about global innovators such as Thomas Edison alongside Nigerian icons such as Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti.
