Events
PTAEvents
Strong schools are built by active parents. The MPIS Parent–Teacher Association is a working partnership, not a formality.
The cycle
Three kinds of meeting
General PTA Meeting — once per term
Scheduled each term against the academic calendar, with the date communicated termly. The school’s report on the term, financial and project updates, executive business, and an open floor.
Class-Level Forums
Smaller meetings between one class’s parents and the class teacher. Practical, specific, and where most of the useful work actually gets done.
PTA Executive Meetings — termly
Held by the elected executive. Minutes are published to all parents on the portal.
Standing committees
Where parents actually serve
Academic Standards
Reviews results data with the academic team and supports the reading and numeracy initiatives.
Welfare and Safeguarding
School meals, sick bay provision, hostel welfare and student wellbeing.
Transport and Safety
Bus routes serving Uyo and Ikot Ekpene, pick-up and drop-off logistics, and campus security review.
Infrastructure and Projects
The annual PTA project — from laboratory equipment to library stock to sports facilities.
