The nine we are asked most

Curriculum, university preparation, STEM, boarding, discipline, transport, scholarships, talent and progress tracking.
Why does MPIS use a blended British and Nigerian curriculum?

One curriculum is simply not enough for the 21st-century leader. We integrate the British Cambridge Framework for its inquiry-based, critical-thinking rigour, and the Nigerian NERDC for its local relevance and cultural groundedness. This ensures our students are bilingual in both local excellence and global innovation.

How does the school prepare students for international universities?

Right from the Visionary Phase in senior secondary, our career counsellors stand in the gap to align students with their best potential. We provide specialised in-house coaching for SAT, IELTS, TOEFL and IGCSE, ensuring our graduates have the academic passport required for top-tier universities in the UK, USA, Canada and beyond.

What makes the MPIS STEM programme different?

We do not just teach computer studies — we architect digital creators. Our STEM modules are led by specialist Vice Principals and include hands-on training in coding, app development, cyber security and robotics. We start this journey early, moving from Sprouts to Visionaries.

Is the boarding facility safe and comfortable for my child?

Absolutely. We provide a fortified home-away-from-home with constant light and water, seasoned chefs and professional laundry services. Our hostels are well-ventilated, frequently fumigated, and supervised by dedicated boarding parents who ensure a disciplined yet nurturing atmosphere.

How do you handle discipline and character development?

Discipline at MPIS is the scaffolding for success. Led by our School Chaplain and leadership team, we focus on Godliness and Integrity. Through daily devotions and leadership modules we teach students self-governance and moral courage, ensuring their character is as robust as their grades.

Does the school provide transportation for day students?

Yes. We operate a premium school bus service covering Uyo and Ikot Ekpene. Our buses are frequently serviced and operated by well-trained professional drivers, so your child’s commute is safe, comfortable and punctual.

Are there scholarship opportunities available?

We offer three tiers: International, for global university placements; National, for competitive excellence within Nigeria; and Local, merit-based awards for our internal students. We believe financial boundaries should never limit exceptional talent.

What is the School of Talent all about?

The School of Talent is where we nurture the total child beyond academics. It includes our Music School (piano, guitar, drums), the Football and Basketball Academies, and the Lawn Tennis team. These programmes build physical grit and creative sophistication.

How can I track my child’s academic progress?

Transparency is key to our partnership. Parents have 24/7 access to the MPIS Clever Portal, a sophisticated student information system where you can track results, attendance and daily updates. Our Customer Care Executive is also always available for any enquiry.
