Lower Primary — Primary 1 to 3
Community helpers and the world close to home.

- The local clinic
- A police station
- A zoo or nature park
- A printing press
Upper Primary — Primary 4 to 6
The first full-day excursions.
- Museums and cultural sites
- A working farm
- A water treatment plant
- A radio or television station
Junior Secondary — JSS 1 to 3
Career exposure begins here in earnest.
- Science and industry manufacturing plants
- Engineering and drilling sites
- Agricultural research stations
- Historical and heritage sites
Senior Secondary — SSS 1 to 3
Trips are increasingly linked to subject specialisms and to university and career decisions.
- University campus visits
- Laboratories and teaching hospitals
- Courts and the state assembly
- Corporate and industrial placements
- The SSS 3 excursion, at the close of the examination season

How a trip is arranged
- Stage 01
The notice
Issued at least two weeks ahead, including destination, learning objective, departure and return times, cost, kit list and the consent form.
- Stage 02
Consent and payment
Completed through the MPIS Clever Portal.
- Stage 03
Cost
Kept as low as possible, and support is available so that no child misses a trip for financial reasons. Speak to the campus office in confidence.
- Stage 04
Chaperones
Parent chaperones are genuinely welcome. Volunteer through your class forum.
