Graduation &End of Session

Every term at MPIS ends with recognition, and every stage ends with a send-off. These are our high-prestige days — the ceremonies that mark how far a student has come, and where they are going next.

Every term

Three closing ceremonies

No term simply stops. Each one closes with something worth dressing up for.

Term 1 — Carol Day and End of Year Event

Nine lessons and carols in the worship centre, followed by the presentation of term awards for academics, conduct and service.

Term 2 — Cultural Festival, STEM, Sport and Mid-Year Honours

Cultural Day performances, followed by the mid-year honours roll and the announcement of house standings.

The send-offs

Two graduation ceremonies

One closes the primary journey at Idoro. The other closes the school.
01

Primary 6 Valedictory

The class that has finished the primary journey at Idoro is sent off to Itak. Class prophecy, a slideshow from Sprouts to Primary 6, the leavers’ address, and the handover of the primary school flag.

02

SSS 3 Graduation and Send-Off

Our flagship ceremony, held after the external examination window closes. Academic procession, gowns and sashes, the valedictorian’s address, the founder’s charge, presentation of the graduating class, and the alumni induction — followed by the graduation dinner and the leavers’ photographs.

For families

The practical arrangements

What graduating families need to know, and when.
  • Graduation gown hire, sash and photography arrangements are notified separately to graduating families, with the fee schedule.
  • Reports are released to the MPIS Clever Portal on the last day of every term.
  • Boarders’ departure arrangements and bus schedules are circulated in the final week.
  • Every graduate is inducted into the MPIS alumni network on graduation day, and stays connected through it.
