In detail

Science Discovery Lab

Every child is a natural scientist. This lab moves science from the pages of a textbook into the hands of our pupils.

Children arrive as scientists. Our job is not to make them curious but to keep them so, and to give that curiosity method.

The architecture of inquiry

  • The living world — hands-on biology through safe, interactive observation.
  • Early physics and mechanics — age-appropriate kits exploring gravity, motion and energy.
  • Safe chemistry — simple, non-toxic discovery experiments.

A sanctuary for young researchers

  • Child-centric design — every workstation sized for safety and comfort.
  • High-resolution models making invisible concepts tangible.
  • The scientific method taught as a way of thinking: ask, hypothesise, observe.

What to look for on a tour

Practical detail

  • Every lesson includes something to handle.
  • Safety goggles and aprons sized for children.
  • Observation journals kept across the year.
  • Results recorded, compared and questioned.

Visit this facility

Tours run on weekday mornings during term and take in every facility on the campus. Book one and we will walk you through this room while it is in use.

Parents ask themselves

Is this somewhere my child will feel safe? Are the facilities actually used?

Those are the right questions. Every page here is written to answer them plainly — and the admissions team will answer them in person on 07044000075.

How it works here

Known by name, taught by specialists.

Two things shape a day at MPIS more than anything else.
Guided study, inside the school day

Core work is reinforced under specialist supervision before the last bell, which is why children leave without a bag full of homework and still make progress.

Continuous assessment, not one big exam

Learning and evaluation happen together. Struggling learners get targeted support early; strong ones are stretched further.

A form tutor who knows the child

Pastoral care is structural, not optional. Every child has an adult whose job is to notice.

Life at MPIS

A school you can see working.

Laboratories in use, instruments in hand, pitches full. These are placeholders until the school photography arrives.
