STEM Week

MPIS successfully celebrated its STEM Week with great enthusiasm and active participation from students and staff. The week featured exciting science experiments, engaging coding and robotics sessions, engineering design challenges and stimulating mathematics competitions. Students demonstrated creativity and critical thinking throughout the activities.

We appreciate the efforts of our teachers, parents, students and organisers who made the event impactful and memorable.

Common Entrance Examination

MPIS successfully conducted the Common Entrance Examination, Batch A, into all classes. Those who missed the first batch will have a chance to participate in the late entry examination in March 2026.

We look forward to welcoming the successful candidates into our academic community.

Staff & Parents Interactive Forum

The meeting was successfully held at Maryland Prestigious International Secondary School with active participation from parents and staff. Important issues concerning students’ academic performance, discipline and overall school development were discussed, and parents were given updates on ongoing projects and upcoming school activities.

The meeting provided an opportunity for constructive dialogue between parents and teachers, strengthening our shared commitment to the growth and success of our students. We appreciate all parents and staff members who attended and contributed.

Pre-School Creativity Exhibition

MPIS recently showcased the creativity and talents of our pre-school students through various engaging activities. The pupils demonstrated outstanding imagination and originality in art, craft, writing, science projects and class presentations. Their work reflected confidence, innovation and strong problem-solving skills.

The display highlighted the importance of nurturing young minds and encouraging self-expression in a supportive learning environment.

Cosmetology & Hair Artistry

We are committed to discovering and nurturing the unique talents and creativity of every child through focused development and skill-building programmes.

Students in our Hair Artistry programme were introduced to the fundamentals of hair care, learning essential techniques for maintaining healthy hair, basic styling methods and proper grooming practices. Through guided practice and demonstrations they began developing hands-on skills while also learning the importance of personal presentation, creativity and professionalism.

Itak Campus — STEM Fest and Coding & Robotics

STEM Fest, 11 February. We celebrated this year’s STEM Fest with an exciting display of creativity and innovation. Students actively participated in science, technology, engineering and mathematics activities, showcasing impressive projects and problem-solving skills. Parents and guests were delighted by the students’ confidence and creativity.

Coding & Robotics, 23 February. Our students are building strong foundations in Python programming, learning key concepts such as variables, data types, operators, conditional statements, loops and functions. Through hands-on coding exercises and practical projects they develop logical thinking, structured problem-solving and computational skills — essential preparation for advanced learning in computer science, robotics and artificial intelligence.

Red Cross Society — a model of the human heart

Presented by Bright Gregory. Did you know the heart pumps blood eighty-two times in one minute?

This month the Maryland Red Cross Society educated students and staff on the model of the human heart. Miss Gregory explained that the heart is a muscular organ about the size of your fist, located slightly to the left side of the chest.

It has four chambers: the right atrium, which receives deoxygenated blood from the body; the right ventricle, which pumps that blood to the lungs; the left atrium, which receives oxygen-rich blood from the lungs; and the left ventricle, which pumps oxygen-rich blood to the whole body. Four valves prevent blood flowing backward — tricuspid, pulmonary, mitral and aortic — and the wall separating the left and right sides is called the septum.
